As you may know I graduated from MICA's MFA program last May. I've since been in the throws of debating whether I should strike out into the wilds of freelancing, take a teaching job, take a full/part time job etc. Then something fortuitous happened: I was offered a position at Tinybop. I've loved this company for a long time. They care a lot about illustration and making beautiful children's art. They've made such apps as The Human Body and Plants (obviously my favorite).
So here I am at Tinybop! I'm very excited to be here and to be thinking about how kids think and learn all day. It's already been very inspiring for my own personal work so I think this was a good move on my part. I'm still working on a lot of freelance projects at the moment, but it's been fun to stretch my brain in different ways in this new place. I'm happy to be in Brooklyn too! Come say hi if you're my neighbor!
